These are both pictures taken by Linda of the greatest sunset we had one night in Mazatlan. It seemed to go on for a long long time and just kept getting better.

Pictured here is the famous Mazatlan Pulmonia. There are several ways to get around Mazatlan. You can take a regular taxi which is the most expensive way. You can use the city bus system which goes most everywhere and is very inexpensive (4.5 pesos for the old buses and 8 pesos for the new buses (45 or 80 cents American). The buses are a good way to get around but sometimes the drivers stop for you and sometimes they don't and the stops are not well marked. The other option is the Pulmonia. These are small open air vehcles made from old Volkswagon parts. When they first arrived here 36 years ago, jealous drivers of regular taxis warned their customers not to ride in the door-less, window-less vehicles because they would catch pneumonia. The name stuck. These are cheaper than regular taxies and are all over the place.

Saw 2 groups of about 20 each fly over in formation while we were in the pool later this aftertnoon. Didn't have camera with me though.

Picture of the balcony. It is very nice to sit out there early in morning and listen to the ocean and drink my coffee. See pelicans flying near the shore but haven't gotten any pics of them yet.

Pueblo Bonito Emeral Bay Mazatlan - main pool

Hi folks, we are here at Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay, Mazatlan, Mexico. Finally getting to try to blog a couple of pics. Have a very slow dial up connection here in room and have been having a lot of trouple with pics and email.
This place is beautiful. Our room looks out at the ocean and the main pool complex. This is a pic of main pool area. If you click on this or any of the pics I will post you can see the rest of the pics that I have set up on flickr.
We are having a great time but it is hard to plan what to do as there is so much to see and do.
