Female Mallard with young at Vischer's Ferry Nature Preserve in Clifton Park, NY. She was teaching the young how to bob for weeds and stuff for dinner. 

Grey catbird at Bog Meadow Brook. Have never seen one with this coloring, don't know if this is a juvi or what.

Baltimore Orioles were very plentiful at Vischer Ferry Nature Preserve this week. They seemed particularily cooperative for photos. Photo taken on 5/10/05. 

Ran across this guy while spending a couple of hours at Vischer's Ferry Nature Preserve in Clifton Park, NY. He was on a downed tree and was working very hard at getting at whatever bugs were hiding there. He was so intent on what he was doing that he allowed me to take photos for about 10 minutes and then put my camera aside and continue watching him for another 5 minutes.
